Beta release

Before you install, please be aware:

  • This is a beta release and is still under active development.
  • The installer is not yet signed with a code-signing certificate.
  • Because of this, your browser and Windows SmartScreen may warn you when you download or run it. This is expected for the beta.

If your browser blocks the download:

  1. Open your downloads list (Ctrl + J in Chrome and Edge).
  2. Find Knoten-Setup.exe and choose Keep — in Edge you may need the … menu, then Keep anyway.

If Windows SmartScreen blocks the installer:

  1. Run Knoten-Setup.exe.
  2. If a blue “Windows protected your PC” window appears:
    • Click More info.
    • Click Run anyway.
  3. Or right-click the file, choose Properties, tick Unblock at the bottom, then click Apply before running it.

Once Knoten is installed, you shouldn't see these warnings again. Knoten never runs your PHP code and works entirely offline.
